He said, ‘Listen to my words: ‘When there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, reveal myself to them in visions, I speak to them in dreams.
Numbers 12:6 (NIV)

MARRIAGE

In the dream you could be getting married or wearing a wedding dress or tuxedo. It shows that you are prepared for what is coming. Ephesians 5 talks about the bride being prepared for a wedding without a spot or wrinkle. Looking at the wedding dress, is it spotted or wrinkled. It could be talking about your devotion to your groom. It could be talking about your righteousness. Spots usually talk about the issue of sin that are shame issues and wrinkles are often talking about iniquities that are patterns of unrighteousness verses the act of unrighteousness. God can clean them up. The marriage is a lifetime covenant. It is talking about intimacy, relationship and devotion. When you are getting married it is a beautiful thing and a holy thing. It is often talking about a deeper level of covenant. Maybe you are getting married to a person in your dream but it doesn’t mean that you are actually going to get married to that person but your relationship with that person will be going to a new level. Maybe it is what they represent. Maybe you see yourself marrying a famous person or someone that is already married, does that mean that they are not going to be with that person anymore? Not at all, it just means that they are metaphoric. Ask, what do they represent in your life, are you going to get married to a prophetic calling or pastoral calling or a musical calling? It might be a musician that you are marrying, pay attention to the metaphor, it’s a deeper level of commitment. It’s not a temporary thing but a lifelong thing. You could be getting married to the Lord, maybe it’s someone you can’t quite see, or a very rich person. It is asking for a deeper relationship with him. With a marriage the two becomes one.

MERMAIDS

Dreaming about mermaids is a common symbol. A mermaid is a mystical and fantastical creature. Mermaid were known to lure sailors with their beauty and sounds into the depths of the ocean. Here is where their true psychological meaning make sense. A mermaid is a symbol of temptation which causes trouble, it is also a sign of deception and distraction. A mermaid is a fantasy, something you believe to be beautiful and wonderful, something that would make you feel complete and take you to new heights. However, the true intentions of the mermaid are to catch you and drown you in the sea. Ask yourself, what is it that is in your life that sounds too good to be true. It is probably as not as good as you think and your sub conscious knows it. Sharpen your critical thinking and don’t take anything for granted.

MIRRORS

Mirrors reflect an image. If you are seeing yourself in a mirror it could be something that is being reflected or revealed. God will use mirrors in a dream to reveal something to you. The symbolic meaning of your face in a dream could represent the heart. God could be showing you your heart, something that is in your heart.

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12

God likes to reveal what is in your heart. On the other hand, looking in the mirror could represent vanity, pride and self-centredness. Different types of mirrors can appear in a dream.
A
FULL BODY MIRROR
could represent issues that affect the dreamer’s entire life or God wants the dreamer to give attention to their entire life or ministry from head to toe.
A
HAND HELD MIRROR
could represent a need to come face to face with certain issues, or the dreamer should examine their life much more closely.
A
REAR VIEW MIRROR
view would represent looking back on a negative aspect of your life. You are having regret and are focusing on pass negative issues making it very difficult to move forward in life.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead.
Philippians 3:13

God is encouraging the dreamer the stop looking back and to move forward in life.
A
BROKEN MIRROR
tends to represent a broken heart, or shattered dreams. God wants to bring healing to the heart of the dreamer. It could also represent broken focus and that means that distractions have caused you to become unfocused.
Seeing
SOMEONE ELSE'S FACE
, someone you know, could represent seeing someone that has similar gifts, talents or calling. Maybe God wants you to empathise with this person, to understand what this person maybe going through in their life at the time of the dream and maybe pray for them or minister to them.

MONEY

money 4 web.png

Money often talks about favour, coins could be referring to treasure. The idea is that God is releasing favour and you have to follow the trail. Often, we see a coin and continue walking but if we turn and look then God begins to release favour. If you press into that favour, then it will open up into a huge treasure of favour. You will need to follow the favour that he gives you. Money often talks about favour but negatively it means greed or materialism. It’s not money that is evil but the love of money that is the root of all kinds of evil. Looking at the context, is the dream dark or in black and white. Maybe the money is of another currency so it could mean that you are going to have favour in that culture. Old coins could mean that it is favour for old truths or old treasures that God wants to reveal. Lots of coins could mean change, a play on word for a need to ‘change’. Riches in dreams can represent spiritual riches, rich in love, grace and mercy. It could be what the dreamer has or need. Money can represent gifts or talents.

14 ‘Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them.

15 To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.

16 The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more.

17 So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more.

18 But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.

19 ‘After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them.

20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. “Master,” he said, “you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.”

21 ‘His master replied, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!”

22 ‘The man with two bags of gold also came. “Master,” he said, “you entrusted me with two bags of gold: see, I have gained two more.”

23 ‘His master replied, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!”

24 ‘Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. “Master,” he said, “I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed.

25 So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.”

26 ‘His master replied, “You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed?

27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

28 ‘“So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags.

29 For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.

30 And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Matthew 25:14-30

Money or gifts can be talents that are placed on the inside of you. If somebody gives you money that could be representing a gifting, a talent or an ability in some area of your life. Money can be literal. Any money coming from the sky or heaven is going to be something spiritual and not literal. Money can represent a seed that you need to sow.

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.

2 Corinthians 9:10

If you dream that you have found money or receive money it could mean that God is wanting you to sow a seed in a particular area of your life so that you can produce a harvest. Positively, money can be given to represent an investment. It could be a spiritual investment in your health and emotions. Negative meaning will depend on the context of the dream. If you dream that you are taking money or stealing money that could represent greed. You can have dreams that go against your natural character. For example, if you rob a bank, God could be showing that there is some greed on the inside of you that needs to be removed. If it something that you would never do in your natural life, God is showing you that there is a negative issue that is there that needs to be dealt with. It could also mean that you want power and control. In the dream you have bought many hotels, houses and land, or you have a lot of money in a big warehouse, God could be showing that you want worldly success that you are worldly minded and that money is your focus instead of God.

You can have different kinds of money in a dream.

GOLD COIN tends to represent the glory of God or the anointing of God. It represents purification, spiritual cleansing and holiness.

With a 10 PENCE PIECE, the meaning of the money can depend on the amount of money held. The number 10 can represent completion or a complete cycle.

With a 5 PENCE PIECE, the number 5 represents the grace and favour of God that is coming your way. This would have the same meaning as 5 pound note.

Whenever you have a dream where the monetary value is showing in the dream then you would apply the meaning of the actual number. The writer had a dream where someone gave her a $1000 bill with her face on it. God was showing her that she had multiplied abundance and increase. It was designated for her because it had her picture on it.

MOUNTAIN

mountain1 web.png

Mountains can have a significant meaning in dreams. It can have a negative or positive meaning.

It can represent going to a HIGH PLACE IN THE SPIRIT realm or going higher in the things of God. It could also represent being in the presence of God.

But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly.

Hebrews 12:22

And,

And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.

Revelation 21:10

It can represent a PLACE OF PRAYER. It could be a call to prayer as Jesus did when he went up a mountain to pray.

It can represent a PLACE OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP. The woman talking to Jesus at the well was on a mountain. It could represent a call to worship.

It can represent a PLACE OF REFUGE. In the book of revelation it mentions how the kings and princes would hide in the mountain in the last days. It could represent a hiding place or a place of refuge and safety.

It can represent a PLACE OF TRANSFORMATION. Jesus led his disciples up onto a high mountain and Jesus was transfigured before them and his face shone like the sun and his garment became white as light. So, it can represent a place of transformation.

Negatively it can be an obstacle in the life of the dreamer. Running up, walking up or climbing a mountain could represent making an effort to go higher in the things of God or seeking a more intermit relationship.

MUSIC

Music can represent a time of celebration, a time of worship, victory, joy or deliverance. It depends on the context of the dream and the tone, mood and the type of music. Heavy metal music in a dream can represent a time of confusion or chaos. Sad or sombre music could represent depression or sadness. What do different musical instruments mean in dreams? It could depend on what that musical instrument means to the dreamer. If for example, the dreamer dreams about drums and he plays a drum in real life then the drum could represent the life of the dreamer or his career. If on the other hand the dreamer is playing a new musical instrument then it could mean that the dreamer is coming into a new experience.
DRUMS can represent spiritual warfare. It could also represent worship to God. The tambourine is a small drum and it was used in the Old Testament while worshipping God.
STRINGED INSTRUMENTS – the GUITAR can represent praise and worship. An electric guitar could mean plugging into the power of God. It represents spiritual power coming into your life. A HARP or LYRE, is and instrument that David played and can represent heavenly worship. It represents a time of deliverance. The VIOLIN tends to represent an instrument of love. If you or someone else in a dream is playing a violin it could mean that God wants you to spread or display love to others.
HORN or a HOFAR tends to represent power, strength or celebration. When they are blown in a dream, they could represent an alarm or warning. Also, announcing something that is coming. This could also represent a season of battle or warfare. This could also represent the voice of God.
The TRUMPET could represent a warning, an alarm or an announcement of a new season that is coming. It can represent a season of jubilee which is a season of rest and freedom coming into the life of the dreamer.
PIANO or KEYBOARD could represent making melody to God. It could represent a music ministry or musical gifting or anointing as well. Bear in mind that you are playing an instrument that you have never played before; God could be gifting you the ability to play that instrument.
FLUTE or CLARINET can represent praise and worship to God or the prophetic.

SAXOPHONES tend to have a jazzy sound and therefore represent a time of peace or tranquillity that is coming. God could be encouraging you to relax.
There are situations that you could be in.
BAND MEMBER – you’re in a band or a marching band and you are playing a particular instrument. This could represent you being a part of a group, a church group or ministry that brings joy to others. You could also be a part of a worship ministry.

NAKED

In the beginning Adam and Eve were naked and not ashamed. When you are naked it means that you are being transparent and vulnerable, that you are exposed and cannot hide anything. Your response to your nakedness shows you the level of shame that you have in your life. That shame can be forgiven when you ask God. Sometimes you are not ashamed of your nakedness but the people that it affects are embarrassed by it. So, you may have to help others handle the situation. There are times when you are using the toilet and suddenly there are no walls and people are there. Again, it is being exposed, what you thought was private is now being public. Being naked in dreams means that something is going to be exposed, so deal with shame and ready your heart and it won’t bother you as much as if you don’t deal with it. We are not intended to be afraid of what is being exposed.

NAMES

The meaning of the dream can depend on the name of the person in the dream. If you have a dream about someone you know it could be referring to that persons gifting or calling. It could also be referring to that person’s job title or position in a particular organisation, ministry or group. So, if you dream about Reinard Bonnke, a very well-known evangelist, the dream may not necessarily be about him, but is speaking of evangelism or a call to evangelise. So, the person in the dream can be representative of what they stand for. You can dream about a person from your past that is not in your current life. It could be speaking of past events that took place in your life, positively or negatively affecting your current life. The person in your dream that you knew in the past could have played a role in past events of whatever you are dreaming about, and that past event is now affecting your current life. Pray and ask what this person means in your dream. You could be dreaming about someone you know and it could be pointing to that person’s name and not necessarily the person himself. For example, the name Haley means unexpected gift or a blessing. If you know a Haley very well and she shows up in your dream it may not be about Haley at all. God could be showing that you are about to receive an unexpected blessing. You may be calling someone by a different name. For example, your daughter Mary is in the dream but you are calling her Sue in the dream. This could have a positive or a negative meaning. Negatively, if you are calling Mary by the name Sue and the person gets highly offended it could mean that you are not seeing the person for who they really are or you are wishing the person is like someone else. You are pushing that person to become someone they are not. Positively, it could be showing their life calling. For example, if your son’s name is John and you are calling him Cortez, the name meaning is conqueror. God could be showing that your son John has a conquering spirit.

NUMBERS

There is at least one angel that deals with numbers concerning the things of God.

Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to him, ‘How long will it take for the vision to be fulfilled – the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, the rebellion that causes desolation, the surrender of the sanctuary and the trampling underfoot of the Lord’s people?’

Daniel 8:13

This angel spoken of is an angel of number translated from Hebrew as ‘Wonderful Number’. From this passage in scripture you can believe that numbers in the Bible contains secrets or mysteries that were designed and secretly placed and waiting to be discovered. This is an example of a dream where the numbers are significant.

Not every element means the same thing in dreams but often there are patterns where they do.

Numbers is an example where the pattern often means the same things.

Numbers and there meaning.

1 – ONE will often talk about unity or about God. It can represent a beginning. Being the first in rank or something, first in order, time or importance.

2 – TWO can represent multiplication, witness, agreement or even division. It can be negative or positive but you need to look at the context of the dream. Two is symbolic of a faithful witness. The animal went into the ark in twos. There are two witnesses in the book of revelation.

3 - God is THREE which represent the fullness of God or the trinity. Jesus was resurrected on the third day. There are four different perfect numbers, 3, 7, 10 and the number 12. Number 3 represent perfect completion or perfect fullness. Number 7 represents the Spirit of God being made manifest in a very complete way. The number 10 represents perfect order and 12 represent perfect government. God is saying that these things are under his control. Three represents completion, perfection or the God head. There is a principle in scripture that says that out of the mouth of two or three witnesses a matter is established. So, if something gets repeated two or three times often it is a witness that this thing is true or accurate.  It can represent resurrection and even a pattern. A dreamer had a dream where three aeroplanes attacked their house, one behind each other. The dream was showing the enemies plans to destroy their lives or their family’s lives.

4 – FOUR can represent ruling, reigning, dominion or God’s creative works or created order. The four corners of the earth are everything that is created. You have the four winds of heaven which is every aspect of the spiritual realm. It can also represent resurrection because Lazarus was dead for four days. It can represent seasons because we have four seasons.

5 – FIVE represents grace, redemption, favour or anointing. Ephesians chapter four refers to grace. Christ has given us gifts according to the grace given to us. He gave some to be apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. There are five different aspects of grace that are represented.

6 – SIX is symbolic of man or humankind, humanism or human effort. Six is the number of beasts and man because both were created on the sixth day. In revelation it says that 6 is the number of man. 666 represents the anti-Christ and that represents rebellion against the law of God.

7 – There are many examples where SEVEN is used, it is the most prolific number in the whole Bible. The seven days of creation, the seven spirits of God, the sevenfold gifts that are given in Romans 12, the seven elements of the tabernacle, and the seven pieces of cloths or clothing that the high priest wears. It represents spiritual perfection; it represents the manifest power of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, ‘Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?’

22 Jesus answered, ‘I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

Matthew 18:21-22

Jesus was telling Peter to forgive many times. But why did Jesus use the number seven? Seven symbolises perfection, completion and wholeness or the fullness of time.

8 – EIGHT is the number of new beginning or the office of the teacher. If a person had a dream with the number eight on their T-shirt, then that person could be called to the office of a teacher or new beginnings that are taking place in their life.

9 – NINE, in the negative, represents judgment. In the positive, it can represent fruitfulness. An example is the nine gifts of the Spirit or the nine fruits of the Spirit. It can also represent the office of the evangelist.

10 – TEN can represent completion of a cycle or perfect. It could represent trials. It could represent wilderness. It could also represent a nurturing spirit. It can symbolise the office of the pastor. There are Ten Commandments. There are 613 laws which adds up as 10.

11 – ELEVEN represents transition and the prophetic. It can also represent incompletion and standing in the gap. It can symbolise the office of the prophet. In the positive it represents hero’s rising up, people of faith standing up and accomplishing amazing things. In the negative it represents disorder.

12 – TWELVE represents governmental order or divine organisation. There were twelve tribes that represented the whole of Israel. There is the twelve apostles which is the governmental structure that God has place into the church, so it can represent the office of the apostle.

13 – THIRTEEN has a negative meaning. It can represent rebellion, sin and even backsliding. The season of Abraham’s rebellion against God, where he birthed Ishmael to when God spoke to him again, was thirteen years.

14 – FOURTEEN represents generational promises. There are fourteen generations from Adam to Abraham, fourteen generations from Abraham to the carrying away to Babylon and fourteen generation from here to Jesus.

15 – FIFTEEN represents consecration. The different feasts occurred on the 15th.

16 – SIXTEEN relates to the love of God. In Corinthians there are sixteen attributes of the love of God.

17 – There are SEVENTEEN promises to those that overcome in the book of revelation. Therefore, it has something to do with overcoming power.

18 –In the Hebrew language it stands for new life or abundant life. EIGHTEEN can also represent bondage.

19 – NINETEEN represents faith.

20 – TWENTY represents expectancy. Expectancy is the currency of prophetic people. There are 20 dreams and 20 visions listed in the Bible.

29 – TWENTY-NINE is used by God to say something about mountains. They are actually 29 mountains listed in the Bible. Also, in the mountains of the world there are so many 29’s attached to it. Could it be that the author is the same? The answer is yes. If you look up Mount Everest on the web, the tallest mountain in the world, the official height is 29’029 ft tall.

50 – FIFTY represent jubilee or freedom from something in your life.

333 – 2 ‘This is what the Lord says, he who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it – the Lord is his name:

3 “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

Jeremiah 33:2-3

1000 – ONE-THOUSAND can represent unlimited supply, multiplied abundance or the power of God.

PAIN

There are different levels of pain which can be emotional as well as physical. Pain can be felt in two areas, interoception which is pain that originates from inside of the body and exteroception which is pain that originates from outside of the body. Both these types of pain can be felt within a dream or even after you wake up from a dream. Pain in a dream can have several meanings.

1 You could be going through an intense time of stress and anxiety. Stress at work can cause you to have a headache in a dream.

2 God is drawing to or highlighting an area in the dreamer’s life that is negatively affecting the dreamer and the dreamer is unaware of it. For example, the dreamer can have a dream where they were shot or stabbed in the chest and they can literally feel the pain of the bullet going in. They may wake up feeling this pain. This could mean that the dreamer has suffered a broken heart in real life or has been betrayed and they are feeling the pain in their heart. God is bringing this to the mind of the body because He wants to heal them. A tooth ache may mean that the dreamer is unable to understand Gods will for their life. A back ache could represent a pain from the past.

3 Pain could represent a demonic attack. If an insect or animal is attacking you in a dream this could represent an attack on the life of the dreamer by demonic forces.

If you wake up and you are still feeling the pain then it points to the intensity of the attack. God gave the dreamer this dream, not only to warn them but so that the dreamer would see what was coming so that he could pray against the dream from manifesting or being fulfilled.

PEOPLE

Dreams are highly symbolic so people can represent themselves literally in a dream or they can represent something or someone else. The first question you ask is, do you know this person or do you not know this person? If you know them in real life, how are they related to you? You would ask, are they somebody from your school, work or church. Are they part of your family? This could represent that people group where something is going on in that group. Maybe you see Billy Graham who has an evangelical ministry, or your pastor who has a pastoral role. A mother could represent the church or it could be your actual mum, or a father who could be Father God, or it could be your father or it could be a father figure that’s in your life. It might be that person who they are to you. It might be the position or some characteristic that they play. Maybe you see the President in your dream, maybe it doesn’t represent the actual President but God. Do you know their name? Because their name meaning could tell you what they represent in the dream. When looking up a name use the inherent meaning of the name and not what the author thinks it is. If it is someone you don’t know personally it could be somebody you know of but you don’t know. They are more likely something they would represent. Maybe you don’t know them at all. What did they do in the dream, were they helping the dream happen or did they hinder the dream? They might be a spiritual being especially if you don’t see their face. They are called faceless people that show up in a dream. Faceless people don’t mean that they don’t have a face it just means that when you wake up, you can’t picture their face. Faceless people are often spiritual beings. Ask the question, are they good or are they bad, is there a light around them, is there darkness around them. Are they helping or are they hindering? Sometimes they have a name.

Your MOTHER in your dream could represent your literal mother, the church, the Holy Spirit, tradition or your mother’s bloodline. It depends on the context of the dream.   Mother sometimes represent something that is a structure over your life. It’s going to represent something that is nurturing, something that is giving love or is nurturing you.
Your
FATHER in your dream could represent your literal father, your heavenly father or your father’s bloodline. Father always represent identity that why we say that he represents creator rather than your true mother or father. Sometimes fathers or mother can represent structures, both negative and positive structures that are over your life. Sometimes those are things that the creator is talking to you about getting rid of.
CHILDREN could be your literal children, a young ministry or young or immature Christians. Any of your children could represent you. They could also represent the next generation or the coming generations of your family line.
BABIES could be symbolic of a new ministry, new vocation, new purpose or a new idea. Babies can also represent baby Christians.
Seeing a
BROTHER OR A SISTER could represent your literal brother or sister. It could also represent your Christian brothers and sisters. Your siblings are often going to represent your associations, people that you go to school with, people you’re in covenant with in some area, that might be some sort of community whether that is church or some organisation that you work in.
GRANDPARENTS could represent your spiritual heritage or your natural heritage. They could represent something that you have inherited from them naturally or spiritually.
Seeing your
PASTOR can be literal or represent the Lord. This would apply to other offices as well.
FAMILIAR PEOPLE are people that you don’t know. You can’t make out their face but they are walking next to you. People like these could be angels or the Holy Spirit. It is usually some kind of heavenly being in your dream.
Seeing a
FACELESS MAN could represent the Holy Spirit the Lord or an angel. Why would God use a faceless figure or an angel to represent Himself in a dream?

No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father.
John 6:46

And,

Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.’
Exodus 33:23

This being is helping or protecting you.

Demon – you would know it’s a demonic spirit by your feelings. You might have negative feelings or you might be fearful. If you have a faceless being that is wearing a black hood it usually means witchcraft.
A human being – you see a person with no face or you look in the mirror and there is a distortion or no face then that person has lost his identity. Looking in the mirror and not seeing a face could actually mean not knowing who you are in Christ or your gifts and talents.
A person is missing certain features – a missing mouth could mean that the person is not being heard. Missing eyes could mean a loss of vision or spiritual blindness. Missing ears means that person is not hearing Gods voice clearly. It could also mean not listening to a person’s heart. A nose represent discernment where a person can rightly judge. A missing nose means that your discernment or judgement is off. This would lead to you making wrong decisions concerning your life. The forehead represents thinking or having peace of mind. So, having a headache can represent no peace or having a period of unrest.
See someone that you know and that person changes into another person that you know. This means that they have the same calling.
Friends - Seek the origin of their name, what is the character, what do you think of when you think about that person. Friends often are going to represent you. There are going to be times where everybody in your dream is going to represent you. So, you have to look at the character, the context and the scenario.
Ex-boyfriend or girlfriend, their wife, an ex-person or a former person. Check the meaning of their name. Check their name and character, what is your initial response or impression when somebody says their name?

PRAYER

Sometimes the dream is about praying for ourselves or others. How to recognise a prayer dream.

Dialling or texting 999 – this is a call to prayer either for yourself or someone else. It all depends on what is happening in the dream. For example, you can have a dream where you are fighting someone or you are being chased by someone and you grab your cell phone and you dial 999 or you text 999 for help. God is showing that you need to fervently pray for the situation so that he could intervene on your behalf and bring about a change in that particular situation.

Unknown person – If you see the face of a person with all the details and the dream indicates that this is an actual person that you are seeing and you don’t know them, God is showing this person to you in a dream because He wants you to pray for this person. You don’t have to know someone personally to pray for them, but God knows them. This also applies to a celebrity or a well-known person.

Seeing someone through someone else’s eyes – You are this person and you are looking out through their eyes and you are seeing what they are seeing. God wants you to empathise with this person, to know and to feel what they are feeling. This is so that you can understand them and pray on their behalf.

Seeing someone you know act or behave differently than they normally would behave – You may see someone you know who is normally bubbly and happy in real life, but in the dream they are sad. This person could be going through depression and feeling lonely. God is showing you how this person really feels and He is showing you so that you can pray for that person. He may show you someone behaving differently than they normally would in real life. The writer spoke of a man in her dream smoking cigarettes which he did not do in real life. Cigarettes are spiritually an unhealthy behaviour or offensive behaviour, so the man was doing something in the natural that was unhealthy for him. God was asking the writer to pray for this individual and she did. So, if God is showing you something negative about that person, He is asking you to pray for that person. If God simply just told you things, negative things about people you knew, for no reason then He would simply be a gossip. You may not necessarily tell them about the dream, you have to pray about that, but you would definitely pray for them.

RING

A wedding ring represents commitment, it talking about a covenant and it’s talking about some kind of a lifelong thing. The ring goes around in a circle and there is no end to it so it is an eternal covenant. Sometimes rings can talk about covenants. A signet ring would have a particular seal on it and it would be used to seal a document with wax. The ring mark would be like a signature and it would represent authority. The authority to accomplish something, the authority to do something. In dreams you always want to rely on relationship more than you do on principles when it comes to dream elements. However, it is helpful to know the principles.
